Generally speaking:
Until 1830 there was territory in South America named Gran Colombia. Territory split in to three countries, one of them being Venezuela and other two Ecuador and Colombia.
Andes mountain range stretches throughout South America, all the way to Venezuela and Caribbean coast. Pico Bolívar is the Venezuela's highest peak at 4 979 meters (16 335 ft.).
Venezuela has one of the most beautiful coastlines surrounding the Caribbean sea. Beaches, for an example on Venezuelan island of "Isla Margarita" are pristine paradise.
