Every year on December 25th, Christmas day brings joy to many families and friends who come together to celebrates the birth of Jesus.

History

Jesus was born in Bethlehem around 2010 years ago.

Birth, life and death of Jesus are recorded in gospels. It is estimated that they were written decades after crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to wish Merry Christmas to friends on other language then English we hope that you’ll find useful the Merry Christmas list which with your help keeps growing throughout the years.

Giving on Christmas

On that joyous day, gifts that are left on Christmas eve (December 24th) by “Santa” under the Christmas trees decorated with lights and ornaments are exchanged.

Day’s of Christmas should also remind us of those unfortunate once who are barley surviving on tiny amounts of food and are going to bed hungry. To those in need we all should give generously as much we can and Christmas should remind us that not everyone in the World is fortunate as “we are”.

White-bearded man wearing a red coat

Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas or Father Christmas

Santa Claus is also known as Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas.

Story tells us that Santa lives on North pole (map) and brings us gifts on Christmas Eve, December 24th, or on Saint Nicholas day, December 6th.

Santa is white-bearded man wearing a red coat and lucky ones can see him on Christmas eve, high up in the night-sky in his sled pulled by flying reindeer delivering gifts to the children.

Christmas in a modern day society

It’s the day that apparently drives the economy. It’s the biggest business day of the year for many stores. It’s the day that became “Happy holiday”. etc…

Shopping center decorated with lights and ornaments more then a month before Christmas

Christmas decorations

Often, Christmas tree decorations are past from one generation to another just as village set who has been for years decorative part of Bob’s and Colette’s home.
