Halloween

Halloween, some are looking forward to it, some, oh well, turn off the lights.

If you decide to get involved and experience to the fullest weeks heading to Halloween and Halloween night itself, you’ll need few basic ingredients beside being open minded. You should definitely start preparation with a scary, funny or favorite fiction or real life character mask or costume.

More or less scary home decorations are must have if you are playing a scary but friendly host who will be generously handing out colorful candies. In case you are one who is heading out for some “trick or treating” then neighbors who think alike and aim to scare you, as well who like dangerous “types” coming over would complete the picture of a typical Halloween night.

Treats usually given at the door are candies and all that fun is often shared with friends you can count on.

House or yard Halloween decorations could be bought in your local store but you can also use seasonal farm produce like colorful corn, corn stems, old clothes filed with the hay etc. to decorate. Of course, most popular decorative seasonal produce of the farm for Halloween are pumpkins and Jack O’ Lantern they become in creative hands.

Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. Every year on December 25th, Christmas day brings joy to many families and friends who come together to celebrates the birth of Jesus.

History

Jesus was born in Bethlehem around 2010 years ago.

Birth, life and death of Jesus are recorded in gospels. It is estimated that they were written decades after crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Giving on Christmas

On that joyous day, gifts that are left on Christmas eve (December 24th) by “Santa” under the Christmas trees decorated with lights and ornaments are exchanged.

Day’s of Christmas should also remind us of those unfortunate once who are barley surviving on tiny amounts of food and are going to bed hungry. To those in need we all should give generously as much we can and Christmas should remind us that not everyone in the World is fortunate as “we are”.

Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas or Father Christmas

Santa Claus is also known as Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas.

Story tells us that Santa lives on North pole (map) and brings us gifts on Christmas Eve, December 24th, or on Saint Nicholas day, December 6th.

Santa is white-bearded man wearing a red coat and lucky ones can see him on Christmas eve, high up in the night-sky in his sled pulled by flying reindeer delivering gifts to the children.

It’s the day that apparently drives the economy. It’s the biggest business day of the year for many stores. It’s the day that became “Happy holiday”. etc…

Winter

In the Northern hemisphere Winter starts on December 21 and ends on March 21. During the Winter months, days are short and nights long, ground is covered in snow and ice and air temperature is often below 0°C (32F) or well below.

Few days latter Christmas is celebrated. Winter also “hosts” on January 1st, the New Year’s Day, the first day of the new year.

Saint Patrick’s Day

Annually on March 17th, the Saint Patrick’s Day, is celebrated Roman Catholic holy day St. Patrick.

Green color and shamrocks are worn in celebration of the St Patrick and many parades around the world are held. In the Republic of Ireland Saint Patrick’s Day is a national holiday.
